PRAISE & THANKSGIVING

"But blessed is the [one] who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." Jeremiah 17:7-8 NIV

NEW PRAYER REQUESTS

And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. Colossians 1:10-12 NIV

  • Please pray for those who are single and are waiting for God to bring them together with who he has chosen for them.

HEALTH CONCERNS

  • Please pray for those in our community who do not wish to be named, but who are having health problems and are undergoing testing.
  • Remember those recovering from surgeries or illness
  • Remember those dealing with cancer
  • Remember the housebound
  • Remember those waiting anxiously for diagnosis
  • Remember those suffering from depression
  • Remember those suffering from addictions, may they discover that God's higher power works when human willpower fails.
  • Remember those struggling with weight problems
  • Remember those waiting on organ transplant lists
  • Expectant Parents
  • Remember those trying to conceive
  • Remember those dealing with chronic medical conditions, illness or disability. Thank God for the medications and treatments that let them live comfortable lives

STRESSFUL FAMILY SITUATIONS

I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 NIV

  • Remember those who have lost loved ones
  • Pray for those who are single parents
  • Remember those who are far from their families because of work or school

FAITH COMMUNITIES

So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers. -- Acts 16:5

  • Ask God to put his hand of blessing on all the new church starts, especially those worshiping "underground" where Christianity is illegal

EMPLOYMENT CONCERNS

The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. -- Deuteronomy 28:12

  • Remember those whose incomes depend on commissions or meeting sales goals
  • Remember those who are looking for employment or changing jobs
  • Remember those who are in stressful situations at work
  • Remember those whose jobs put them in danger

CONTINUING CONCERNS

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24 NIV

  • Remember those in the armed services, especially those serving in the Middle East . May their time away go quickly, and may they all come home safely.
  • Remember doctors, nurses, volunteers, and all healthcare workers that God works his miracles through
    • All the doctors and nurses who have worked God's miracles for the people on our prayer list
    • Hospice workers
    • Family caregivers of the chronically ill or disabled
  • Remember administrators, teachers, aides, bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria staff, and all those caring for our children's educations
  • Remember our police officers, security officers, firefighters, paramedics, and all those serving in public safety positions

OUR WORLD

  • Remember our world leaders and pray for peace throughout the world
    • The leaders of our countries, and all those in power around the world. Even if we don't agree with their policies, we need to realize that God works through them.
    • Pray for peace in the Middle East
    • Pray for peace in North Korea
    • Pray for peace in Lebanon and Israel and throughout the Holy Land.
    • Pray for peace in Sudan , especially Darfur
    • Pray for godly leadership in Fiji

Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should. Ephesians 6:19-20 NIV
